Bachelor of Education in Information Communication Technology

The Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology Education (BICTE) is a four-year undergraduate program offered by Tribhuvan University (TU) under the Faculty of Education in Nepal. The program consists of eight semesters and combines computer science, information technology, software development, and educational theory. It is designed to prepare students for careers in the IT sector, particularly in ICT education, while also providing a foundation for software development and further studies in computing-related fields.

Minimum qualification
2.01 CGPA in Grade 12, or at least Second Division in the 10+2, PCL, or equivalent qualification.

2.0 on a 4.0 scale
Worth knowing
  • Completion of Grade 12 (+2) or equivalent from a recognized board or institution, in any stream.
  • 2.01 CGPA in Grade 12, or at least Second Division in the 10+2, PCL, or equivalent qualification.
  • The published curriculum specifies at least a C grade in each subject in Grades 11 and 12.
  • Must appear in the Central Education Admission Test (CEAT) conducted by TU's Faculty of Education.
